Milwaukee Baseball League Player Drafted By The Milwaukee Brewers
We are happy to announce that Mike Goetz signed with the Milwaukee Brewers after being drafted in the 25th round last week of the MBL draft. He has played two years in our league for Franklin Barber Plumbing. He played at UWM for the past two years. Good luck Mike!!!!!!

Johnny Vs 13 Long Wong's 7
Back-to-back doubles by Paul Lennart and Eric Lubarsky led to a 3-run first inning and propelled Johnny V's to the win. Lee Kleszczynski had 3 hits and Anthony Kulis gave up 2 earned runs over 5 innings to get the win.

South Milwaukee Arcade 23 Long Wongs 0
The Arcade defeated Long Wong's running their win streak to four games to start the season. Justin Biever turned in a stellar pitching performance, going the distance and giving up only two hits. He also had 6 strikeouts and added 2 hits and 2 RBIs at the plate. Mike Lessard turned in an interesting night making 6 plate appearances walking fives times, getting hit once and scoring four runs. Nate Marlowe, Adam Biever, and Matt Kitzke also had good nights at the plate. Long Wong's pitchers gave up 18 walks and hit 3 batters which spelled their doom early on.

Johnny Vs 9 Club Paragon 5
Johnny V's won a close game over Club Paragon. Paul Lennart was the hitting star with a 3-run homer and a RBI single. Mike Gramrossa went the distance to pick up the win.

Milwaukee Harley Davidson / O'Briens 8 Wauwatosa Sluggo's 5
Chris Sanders had two hits and Jon Stocks hit a double and a triple as O'Brien's/MHD beat upstart Tosa Sluggos. Dan Wilfrath pitched a complete game victory for O'Brien's/MHD. Sluggo's rallied late in the game scoring five runs in the last three innings including a two run home run by Cody Tucker.

Braeger / Treat's Blue Jays 11 Club Markey's Indians 7
In a seesaw game the Blue Jays were able to score four big runs late to seal the victory. Blue Jay's pitcher Nick Vanweiringer threw seven innings, striking out seven, while the Blue Jay's line-up provided a balanced attack.

Franklin Barber Plumbing 8 Supreme Builders 5
The Builders broke out to a 3-0 lead in the 2nd. Franklin went ahead with 4 runs in the 4th. Franklin sealed the game with a 4 run 6th with 4 straight hits from Carl Chelius, Nate Kreiter, Jake Barber and Jason Tadeo. Dave Hetzelpitched 7 strong innings.

Supreme Builders 4 Franklin Barber Plumbing 1
Solid pitching by Franklin's D. Eckhardt and Alex Nicholas was not enough as Supreme Builders won 4-1. Brian Renicke pitched a complete game with zero earned runs and allowed only 4 hits. The Builder's bats were led by Chris Moser and Bry Rapp with two hits apiece.

Varsity Club Bulldawgs 9 Colonel Hart's 4
The Varsity Club received a strong pitching performance from Mike Beringer who scattered 5 hits and 1 earned run in a complete game. MBL rookie Brad Thurbur had 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 rbi's to pace the Varsity Club on offense. Korey Salmon and Justin Fischer also drove in 2 runs each. Andy Budd lead Colonel Harts with a 2 hit game.

Varsity Club Bulldawgs 8 Colonel Hart's 5
The Varsity Club pieced together a 5 run lead through 5 innings in game 2 of this division doubleheader. Travis Rose was pitching a great game for the Varsity Club (5IP, 2h, 7K, and 0ER) when in the 6th inning Colonel Hart's hitter Joey Cieslak hit a shot back up the middle striking the Varsity Club pitcher in the shin forcing him from the game. Colonel Harts took advantage of this, and scored 5 runs to tie the game before game 1 pitcher Mike Beringer came in to stop the rally. In the bottom half of the 6th inning the Varsity Club rebounded with three runs. Beringer started that rally with a single, followed by Steve Budny being hit by a pitch. Rob Williamson contributed an RBI single in the decisive sixth. MBL veterans Rob Williamson and Mike Beringer each had two hits with Williamson also having 2 RBI’s. A patient approach by rookie PJ Morrow led to him reaching base all 4 at bats and scoring 3 runs.

McGinn's 10 Planet Markey's Indians 4
McGinn's scored 2 runs in the top of the first to take the lead they would not surrender. The Indians scored one in the second to close the game to 2 to 1. McGinn's scored 4 in the 5th and the Indians mounted a comeback scoring 3 in the 6th to make it 6-4. McGinn's bats put 4 more across in the 7th to seal the win. Ryan Schneider went 5 innings to get the win and Adam Weber closed out the game pitching the final 2 innings.

Royals 6 MPD 4
With the score 4 to 2 in the top of the 6th the Royals rallied when several key hits by the Royals led to 4 run inning. The Royals had a strong outing by all 3 pitchers that appeared in the game. Doug Paradowski pitched the first 4 getting a no decision. Adam Miller got the win pitching 2 innings, and Alex Arcano got the save pitching the 7th. The Royals lineup from 1-9 all helped out offensively to rally for the come from behind win.

Kaspers 13 Braeger & Treat's Blue Jays 1
Kaspers jumped out to a early lead with the bats and got great pitching from Keith Comp who gave up one unearned run and three hits.
