July 14-16

O'Brien's/Milw. HD 14 Colonel Hart's 10
Jon Stocks went 3-3 against his former team leading O'Brien's/ Milw Harley-Davidson to a win. Chris Sanders continued swinging a hot bat with a double and a triple, while Jason Peters and Mike Drover chipped in two hits apiece. OB's/Milw. HD jumped out to a 9-1 lead after three innings only to have Colonel Hart's score 6 in the top of the fourth highlighted by a bases loaded double by Mike Grabek followed by a two run home run from Bobby Jankowski. OB's/Milw HD's pitcher Jim Vielbaum pitched a complete game striking out 6 to get the victory.

Planet Markey's Indians 7 Texx's Royals 4 SUSPENDED due to lighting
This game will be finished on Friday August 4. Only player involved in the first game may play.

Club Paragon 6 Varsity Club 4 (8inn)
Club Paragon put together 8 solid innings of baseball to pull out the 6-4 victory. After early runs for both teams, Connor Broderick took the mound in the 4th to quiet the Varsity Club bats. Paragon scored 1 in the seventh and 2 in the eighth to pull off the upset.

Long Wongs 11 McGinn's 10 (9inn)
These teams decided a long one on the 120 degree ruby red clirt was a good idea, going nine innings in just under the 3 hour time limit. McGinn's jumped out with a six run top of the first keyed by several hard hit balls. Long Wongs answered in the bottom of the first with six of their own keyed by consecutive hits at the top of the order. Lead off man Aaron Krueger singled, was driven in by Kirk Spano's double, who in turn was driven in by Adam Graves triple. Also getting key hits in the inning were Drew Dean, Mike Fuss (back from fishing) and the supernatural Brian Jaeger who had wrist surgery just two days earlier. From here on the pitchers dueled, as Greg Ketz ate up five innings for Long Wongs against Dan Mehigan who pitched nine solid gutty innings for McGinn's. Josh Sopczak came in to get the victory allowing only one run over four innings as Graves, Spano, Ben Garvey, Dean and Ketz all made key defensive plays (Graves and Spano looking like acrobats). Catcher Franciso Romero- who caught all nine grueling innings much to the delight of his wife who had been hoping he'd lose a few pounds- threw out a key McGinn's baserunner attempting to steal in the seventh likely keeping the McGinn's lead entering the bottom of the seventh at one run. In the bottom of the seventh Josh Sopczak drove in Ben Garvey on a liner to right to send the game into extra frames. Then in the bottom of the ninth, with two outs and runners on first and second, Aaron Krueger went with a pitch and punched the ball into shallow rightfield to drive in Sopczak, who had gotten on with his second hit, for the winning run.

Kaspers 13 Royals 6
Kaspers won a hard played game behind the arm of Kevin Cybulski and a strong attack at the plate.

Wauwatosa Sluggo's 12 Treat's/Braeger Blue Jays 7
Braeger scored three runs in the first, three in the sixth and one the seventh. Sluggos countered by scoring in every inning but the 3rd to nail down the victory.

Johnny V's 11 Supreme Builders 7
Johnny V's took the lead with a 6-run 5th inning erasing a 5-4 deficit and hung on to win 11-7. Rob Weist, Tony Jones, Eric Lubarsky, and Steve Murphy each had 2 hits. Mike Gramrossa picked up his 6th win by pitching the complete game. Shawn Carolan lead Brown Deer with 2 doubles.
