Dan Wilfrath pitched five innings giving up only one hit while striking out six to get the win over Club Paragon in their inaugural MBL game. Rookie Tim Heling went 4-5 with a double, triple and four RBI and Chris Sanders had two doubles and three RBI to lead the O'Brien's/Milwaukee Harley-Davidson offense.
Wauwatosa Sluggs 8 Long Wongs 7
The inagural game for the Wauwatosa Sluggs started out with back to back singles by Jake Burkart and Jason Wenzel. The hits kept coming in the third as the Sluggs put up five runs to build a cushion. Austin James led all hitters with 3 hits and 3 RBIs. Lefty Corey Connolly went 6 strong innings for Sluggos. Strong defensive plays stopped a Long Wong's comeback. Randy Kumm led Long Wongs with 2 hits and an RBI.
Supreme Builders 10 Varsity Club 4
Two time defending Champion Supreme Builders started their season where their last two ended, with a win. In their opener, after falling behind early 4 to 0, Supreme Builder's bats awoke with four runs in the fourth to tie the game. Shawn Carolan, Jonny Baierl, Dan Rischmann, and Ryan Diaz had multi hit games which help the Builders secure a win. Diaz pitched a complete game for the win.
Kasper's 20 Merry's Indians 1
Perennial powerhouse Kasper's jumped on rookie team Merry's to win going away.
Colonel Hart's 12 MPD 11
In a well fought game, with an incredible ending, Colonel Harts got their first win of the season.> Being ahead majority of the game, Colonel Harts lost the lead going into the bottom half of the sixth inning. Several walks and hit batters, along with critical hits by new comers Joe Viloski and Troy Schmitt paved the way for a game winning single for Joey "Vegas" Cieslak in the sixth and final inning to resecure the victory.
Johnny V's 14 Franklin Barber Plumbing 10
An 8-run 4th innng powered Johnny V's to a 14-10 win. Lee Kleszczynski had 3 hits and Dan Marx dove in 3 runs. Anthony Kulis got the win.
Texx's Royals 7 McGinn's 0
Adam Miller got credit for the win pitching 5 scoreless innings. Alex Arcano came into pitch a scoreless 6th and 7th. The score was close for a majority of the game, but the Royals scored 3 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th to put the game out of reach. The Royals were led offensively by the fiery Joe Cefalu who went 3 for 4 and scored 3 runs.
South Milwaukee Arcade 19 Braeger & Treat's Blue Jays 1
Jeff (Cy) Schilling Jr. turned in a stellar performance on the mound by allowing only one hit over six solid innings and strking out 9 of the 21 batters he faced. He also helped himself out at the plate by going 2 for 5 with four RBI and three runs scored. Mike Lessard, Tony Caruso, Adam Biever, and Dan Guckenberger all went 2 for 3 with at least 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. In all the Arcade collected 18 hits and 10 walks while scoring 19 runs. The Blue Jays lone run came in the bottom of the first.
