Varsity Club Bulldawgs 8 South Milwaukee Arcade 3
This game was much closer then the score. Both team's pitchers put in good performances. Justin Biever for the Arcade pitched 7 innings allowing only 2 earned runs. Travis Rose for the Varsity Club also pitched 7 strong innings allowing 1 earned run and striking out 10 for the win. South Milwaukee Arcade started the game off with a run in the top of the first inning on a single from Adam Biever scoring Nate Marlowe. The Varsity Club answered in the bottom half of the first when Steve Budny singled scoring Brad Thurbur. The South Milwaukee Arcade took advantage of a wild pitch strikeout by Mike Lessard who scored on a Nate Marlowe single in the top of the third to take a 2-1 lead. The Varsity Club answered in the bottom of the fourth on a clutch two out single by Mike Gawletta scoring both Korey Salmon and PJ Morrow to put the Varsity Club up 3-2. In the bottom of the sixth the Varsity Club tacked on 5 insurance runs taking advantage of two South Milwaukee Arcade errors. Mike Beringer and Rob Williamson both had a run batted in with Steve Budny having 2 runs batted in. The Arcade could only muster one run in the top of the seventh to make it an 8-3 Varsity Club win. Nate Marlowe, Justin Biever, and Adam Biever all had 2 hits for the Arcade. Steve Budny led the Varsity Club with 3 hits 3bi and 1run. Korey Salmon had 2 hits and 2 runs.

The MPD, strapped for players due to scheduling difficulties this summer, got their first victory of the year by defeating the two time league champion Builders.

Supreme Builders found a run in the 9th inning after giving away an early 6-1 lead. With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Greer hit a single off of the glove of the diving Jonny Baierl to tie the game to bring it into extra innings. Shawn Carolan of the Builders led the ninth inning with a single and advanced to third with a sac bunt and a groundout. On a wild pitch that jumped out about four feet from homeplate, Carolan risked the out and scored the lead run. In the bottom of the inning the Police had a runner on third with two outs as Brian Rennicke struck the last batter out. Rennicke pitched all nine for Supreme to earn the win. Dan Richmann led the builders with two hits and Tommy Rapp added 4 RBI. MPD hitting was led by Jeff Lazewski and Dave Lopez having 3 hits apiece. Lazewski pitched a complete nine for the loss.

Johnny V's 6 Planet Markey's 0
Johnny V's beat the Indians 6-0 in a rain shortened game. Mike Gramarossa gave up only 1 hit over 5 2/3 before the rains came to pick up his 7th win of the season. Paul Lennart and Eric Lubarsky each had 2 hits and an RBI to lead the V's offense.

Treat's/Braeger Blue Jays 6 Long Wongs 4
Long Wongs 5 Treat's Blue Jays 4
Kirk Spano's diving backhanded grab off the short hop of a rocket down the third base line and throw out kept the Blue Jays from jumping out in the first inning. In the third, Dan Yesbeck, who caught all 14 innings on the day for Long Wongs, threw out a base stealer at third to again thwart a Jays rally. The Jay's did stake a 3-1 lead in the 4th however on Don Klimeck's 2 rbi triple. Long Wong's finally rallied against the ironman pitching of Nick Banwieringen, who threw all 13 innings on the day for the Blue Jays. With two outs in the bottom of the sixth, Brian Jaeger (2-3), who scored Long Wongs previous run in the second, singled in the tying runs. Tom Minior (2-3), who had driven in Jaeger in the second, again came through with a clutch hit, driving in both Jaeger and Greg Ketz. Ketz pitched the complete game victory allowing 3 earned runs and stiking out seven.
O'Brien's/Milw Harley Davidson 7 Texx's Royals 6 (8 inn)
Tim Heling's RBI single with two out in the bottom of the eighth ended this extra inning affair that had four lead changes before O'Brien's/Milw HD finally prevailed. Dan Wilfrath pitched six strong innings for OB's/MHD striking out six while allowing only one earned run but was unable to get the win as the defense had four errors leading to five unearned runs. Texx's Royal's Alex Arcano pitched five strong innings also contributing three hits and left in the sixth inning with the lead which the Royals bullpen couldn't hold. Jim Vielbaum pitched a scoreless final two innings to get the win. Wilfrath also had three hits and two RBI's in the victory.
O'Brien's/Mil HD 19 Texx's Royals 1
Jim Vielbaum completed the doubleheader sweep getting his second win of the day by pitching five strong innings while scattering five hits. Vielbaum also went 2-2 at the plate with a double, two walks, and three runs scored to help his own cause. O'Brien's/Milw. Harley Davidson had a balanced offensive attack hightlighted by a grand slam by Jason Peters (the 31st homer of his career.) Also Tim Heling (3-4 3 RBI\'s 3 runs scored,) Jon Stocks (2-3 3 RBI\'s 3 runs scored,) Chris Sanders (2-3 RBI 2 runs scored,) and Luke Sankey (2-3 2 RBI\'s) contributed in the win.
